

You see, I have a similar rig set up for Win98SE: Hey Ace, first off, that sounds like one mean rig You've put together, good show! Isn't the AWE64 supposed to be SoundBlaster 16-compatible? If it is, then why can't I get any sound out of the computer when playing Star Wars X-Wing with any one of the SoundBlaster options? Am I shit out of luck and have to find a SoundBlaster 16 or SoundBlaster Pro sound card? I can get sound with AdLib, Roland or General MIDI chosen, but as soon as I choose any of the SoundBlaster options, not only do I not get digitized sound, but the game no longer has any kind of sound whatsoever. The game presents multiple different sound options: The problem: I can't get digitized sound to work. Here's my problem - every game I've installed works flawlessly except for one: the DOS floppy edition of Star Wars X-Wing. The Windows 95 editions don't have any problems running under XP, but I'd like to have all the Star Wars X-Wing games installed on that PC.
